These are a few of my favorite things…can you hear Maria singing?
I have some favorite apps, tools and resources that I use in creating my content, coaching, etc. I hope you will find something here that will also make your life easier!
Coaching & Community
VA Networking The best community for virtual assistants who want to connect, learn, and grow their businesses together. Your support group that actually gets what you do.
Cindy Bidar‘s 6-Figure Systems This program taught me how to build systems that actually work instead of just collecting digital dust. If you’re tired of reinventing the wheel every time you do a task, this is your answer.
AI Tools
Claude.ai My go-to AI assistant for content creation, brainstorming, and basically anything that needs a smart second brain. It gets my voice and helps me work faster without losing my personality.
ChatGPT Another AI powerhouse that helps me research, outline content, and problem-solve when I’m stuck.
Workflow & Content Creation
Trello My digital brain for organizing projects, tracking content ideas, and keeping all my random thoughts in one place. If it’s not in Trello, it doesn’t exist.
WordPress The foundation of my website that gives me total control without needing to know code. It’s flexible, powerful, and grows with your business.
Kadence My favorite WordPress theme builder that makes creating beautiful, professional pages actually fun. No designer needed.
Descript Video and podcast editing that feels like editing a document instead of wrestling with complicated software. Seriously, it’s magic for content creators.
Kit (formerly ConvertKit) My email marketing platform that actually makes sense for small business owners. It helps me connect with my audience without feeling like a spammy robot.
ThriveCart The shopping cart system that makes selling digital products ridiculously easy. Set it up once and let it handle payments while you sleep.
Zoom My virtual meeting room for coaching calls, workshops, and coffee chats with clients. Reliable, easy to use, and everyone already knows how it works.
Loom Perfect for recording quick video messages, tutorials, and explanations without scheduling a whole meeting. Video voicemail that actually gets watched.
Canva The design tool that makes me look like I actually know what I’m doing. From social media graphics to presentations, it’s all here.
Google Tools
Google Analytics Shows me what’s working on my website and what’s not, so I can make smart decisions instead of just guessing. Data without the headache.
Google Docs My writing home for everything from blog posts to client deliverables. Real-time collaboration that actually works.
Google Sheets Spreadsheets that don’t make me want to cry, perfect for tracking content calendars, finances, and basically organizing your business life.
Payment Processing
Stripe Handles my online payments smoothly and professionally. Clients can pay easily, and I get my money without jumping through hoops. Plus, PayPal and I had a major falling-out, so no PayPal for me.
Venmo For quick, casual payments that don’t require formal invoicing. Sometimes simple is exactly what you need.
Software Deals & Discoveries
AppSumo Where I find lifetime deals on business software that would normally cost a fortune in monthly subscriptions. I’ve saved thousands here and discovered tools I didn’t even know I needed. Including some listed on this page!
Affiliate Disclosure Full transparency: some of these links are affiliate links, which means I might earn a small commission if you decide to purchase through them (at no extra cost to you). I only recommend tools I actually use and love in my own business. If something’s on this list, it’s because it genuinely makes my life easier, and I think it might help you too.
